The Graduate Student Payment System (GSPS), established in 1995, was outdated and could not support future process improvements. This funding process records and manages the $190M+ annual full funding package for graduate students; therefore, it was critical to bring the technology to the current technical landscape.
The new Graduate Student Funding Project impacts faculty, and staff that support payment transactions that were initiated and managed by GSPS and the mechanism creating reports. This new process implemented Banner and Workday for payment transactions and Power BI for reporting.
The types of payments to graduate students (stipends, tuition, health, and one-time payments) will remain the same. There are no changes to the user entry perspective in Teaching Fellow System (TFS).
All historical data was downloaded to the DataMart and Workday. If you need assistance with historical data, please contact gradfinaid@yale.edu.
